Monday Musings

Monday is always a slow blogging day so I'll continue with my tradition of random bits.

Today's Weather:

Sunny, hot (88 for the high this afternoon), and humid (85%). I'm going to be loving me some AC today.

Feeling:

Pretty good after feeling like "blech" all day yesterday. I'm not sure if it's the medications, the low carb diet, the 16-hour fasting, or the combination of all of them, but I have days when I just feel yucky and have no energy to do anything. I'm also slightly queasy on those days. Anyway, feeling good today.

Watching/Listening to:

The news that KellyAnne Conway is leaving Trump's staff and the reminder that the GOP convention kicks off tonight.

Thinking About:

I have a phone call coming at 11:00 this morning with someone from a nursing home I applied to last week. It's for the position of "unit aide." I'm not totally sure what that is so I'm not even sure it's a job I want, but how will I know if I don't talk to them, right?

On the To-Do List:

Cleaning up the kitchen. I didn't keep up with it yesterday since I wasn't feeling well and you all know what happens to a kitchen when that happens. It looks like a tornado blew through.

  1. Good luck on the job call. Hot here too, never ending, so it seems. I forgot all about doing your Monday Musings--another day, I guess. I'm thinking with all the fasting you are doing, perhaps the medications needed to be adjusted?

Have a great day friend. smiles

  3. I've done that walk more than a few times!! I do keep clean ones in my purse but prefer the one I keep in the car. It has a breathing vent so my glasses don't fog up as badly. I do have a shield that I wear for church or shopping. Makes breathing easier but it doesn't fit in my purse! Hope the job call comes and that it might be something you would like doing. Keep us posted!!

  4. So afraid I'll leave the house without my mask, I've jumped on the 'gator' bandwagon. Matter of fact, I've still got it hanging around my neck. :)
Hope the 'aide' position sounds like something you'd enjoy!

  5. If you have to work, I hope the right job comes along. I have several mask that I leaven in the car. I made an alcohol spray that we use when we take it off and we put it in the sun. I made mine so they fit pretty well. I am going away with friends next month and I am going to buy some disposables to take.

  7. I already saw your comment on Linda's post I think about the job and that you are going to "pass". Don't blame you. One thing I've learned in life...don't take just any job because you are feeling "desperate" for a job. God will provide the right job for you at the right time, and you will have peace about it when it happens, and He will also provide for you in the meantime while you search. I've made the mistake of jumping too soon before and lived to regret it. So take that word of wisdom from your "elder" here. LOL. Love your funny memes. We all need to laugh and smile more.
