I can't believe we've made it to the end of the month and this is the last song. A song you love to sing loudly. I've Got Friends in Low Places by Garth Brooks.
A song you think everyone should listen to. Well, I would have chosen Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong but Kwizgiver picked it and she's hosting this meme so I'll let her have that one. After much consideration I chose Tennessee Whiskey by Chris Stapleton (with Justin Timberlake) because it's very bluesy and not what I think people expect when they see Chris.
A song from the year you were born. Wow. 1964 was a great year for music. The Beatles, the Rolling Stones, the Supremes, Roy Orbison, the Kinks, Jan and Dean, the Drifters... I don't know if I can choose a favorite, so I'll just share the number one song from the week I was born. Everybody Loves Somebody by Dean Martin.
A song you'd like to sing as a karaoke duet. Uh...the answer is there is NO song I'd want to sing in public. Ever. I have zero musical ability. As my nephew from Alabama put it, the bucket I carry a tune in "done rusted through!" That said, supposing there was enough money and/or alcohol in the world to get me to sing a duet, it would be this one. Picture by Kidd Rock with Sheryl Crow.
A song you'd love to be played at your wedding. Well, that boat sailed nearly 36 years ago, so today I will share one of the songs that was sung at our wedding. One Hand One Heart from West Side Story
I admit I cheated a bit here. I did a search of hits from 1976, the year I was 12. Lots of good songs there, but this kind of captured the times for me. The Sweathogs were huge! Click here for the prompts.
