Sunday Stealing: Mantelligence

Linking up with Bev and the thieves @ Sunday Stealing!

Stolen from Mantelligence

1. How old is the oldest expired thing in your refrigerator?  I just went through everything. There isn't anything expired in there. For now.

2. What’s the weirdest thing you’ve ever done on a date?  Well, I haven't been on a date for 36+ years and I didn't date very much before I got married so either I didn't do anything weird or it's been so long I can't remember it.

3. What animal most closely resembles your eating style?  I'm not exactly sure what you mean, but find something that's an omnivore. I eat anything. Except for carbohydrates. I'm doing the keto thing and those are off the menu. It's rough.

4. Have you ever sent someone a text you didn’t mean to?  No. I don't text that much and as my kids will tell you, I'm painfully slow and careful when I do.

5. If you could learn any language fluently, which would it be?  Italian or Greek since Italy and Greece are the two places I most want to visit.

6. Would you rather be bald or covered head to toe with hair?  Bald. I could buy wigs in lots of colors and styles to fit my moods. Can you imagine being covered in hair and having a bad hair day??

7. Do you think you’re brave?  About some things and when it's really important.

8. What horror fiction character scares you the most?  Jaws

9. What food do you crave more than any other?  Potato chips. Crunchy, salty carbs are my kryptonite.

10. Which holiday would you erase from the calendars, if you could?  I can't think of any I'd erase.

11. What’s the most clever word you know?  Well, I don't know. Any word could be clever used in the right context.

12. Do you have a secret hunch about how you will die?  No

13. What do you collect that nobody knows about?  Anybody that knows me knows about my collections.

14. Have you ever eaten only candy for dinner?  Probably as a teenager or in college. I really don't know.

15. Have you ever taken anything illegally across a border?  A state border. I moved my house plants to Florida and moved a bunch back to Pennsylvania. I don't know if it's still the case, but back in the 80's you weren't supposed to do that.

16. Have you ever blown your nose in anything other than a tissue?  Paper towels and as a kid I'm sure my mom handed me a "hanky" more than once.

17. Are you a good time manager?  Not at all.

18. Has life been hard on you?  There have been difficult times, times I wasn't sure I could survive emotionally, but no matter how hard life has seemed to me, it's still been better than it has for millions and millions of people. On the whole I'm blessed and I know it.

19. What is the absolute worst song in the world?  Since my name is Stacy, I really hate the song Stacy's Mom

20. What is your culinary specialty?  I don't know that I have a specialty. I am a fairly decent cook of everything I try.

  2. Re: Jaws -- For me, the scariest attacks were at the beginning, before we actually saw the shark. The poor dog who went out for the stick and never came back, the girl who went skinny dipping. So I wonder if I wasn't more scared of that da-dum music than I was the shark.

  4. Italian is a good language. I love the word ragazzi which means boys. I remember going into an Italian restaurant in Croatia with friends and the very friendly waiter said "Ciao ragazzi e ragazze" - "Hi boys and girls" - it sounded so good.

Sadly, I quite like Stacy's Mom. Sorry about that.

    :o)

  6. Paper towels here, too! Most often, we'll grab toilet tissue ... the only time I break out the Kleenex is when Tom's sis visits. Back in the 80's I tried soooo hard to learn to Italian, but realized it was far easier to speak than to understand what was being said back to me.

  8. I hope you have a successful diet venture. I haven't tried Keto, I did Atkins some time ago. I couldn't stay on it, though.

  11. Salty, crunchy is my downfall. I usually choose that over sweets! Good luck on your Keto diet!
