Happy Day 26

This is more like relief, but it does make me happy to be able to say that all of our family (and we have family in Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and the Florida panhandle) appear to be safe from the worst of Hurricane Laura according to the latest predictions.  They might get some wind and the heavy rain will likely cause flooding, but all are far enough inland that they won't see the hurricane force winds or the storm surge.

  1. That is good to know! We got a message from NYSEG--apparently we are suppose to get 50-60 mph winds and severe weather today here. The air is so heavy and just weird. I wish it would just break and get over with.

    Have a great day, friend.

  2. I so get this. I have friends in Hilton Head and Key West, and family outside of Tampa. It feels like I spend every hurricane season with my heart in my mouth. I'm so glad you don't have to worry about Laura.

  4. That's good news! That was certainly a strange storm, and I guess it's still going.

  5. That's good news! We are in central Texas at the ranch and north Texas at home. Home got a nice rain and the ranch had a short small shower. My heart and prayers go out to those who suffered the brunt of Laura....
