Hello, friends! I'm sorry to be so absent lately.
Now that the new fiscal year has begun I am finally getting clients at the new job. It will iron out eventually, but it's a bit of a confusing mess right now as I learn the ropes and figure it all out. There will be days when I don't see anyone, days when I only work a couple of hours, and days like yesterday when I work from 9-5. Plus, after more than a year of being a pandemic slug I have to get myself back in the groove of working and taking care of things at home...and there are those precious grandbabies I've gotten so close to during the time off. I can't put them off.
I do love what I am doing. The clients are so sweet and it's good to be doing something that helps others again.
So, on to the Tuesday 4.
Books.. TV.. Movies are the topic of the week.
1 A movie theme song will play every time you walk in the room.. what is it? (consider asking family or friends) I'm pretty sure they would all say it would be this one.
2. What movie, book or TV program could you live in? I used to think I'd like to live with the Marsh sisters in Little Women. Now I think it might be nice to live in Dirty Dancing. Oh, not as Baby in all her teenage angst, but just back in simpler times and at that lovely resort.
3. Is there a book/movie/TV quote you often think about or that effects you in some way? Not that I can think of other than Bible verses.
4. OK friend, its your turn to organize our Blogger Movie Night where we get together as a group for snacks and movies! What movies have you planned for us tonight and what snacks are we going to have? It would be a marathon of my favorite romantic comedies...Dirty Dancing, of course, My Big Fat Greek Wedding, My Life in Ruins, Under the Tuscan Sun, While You Were Sleeping. Snacks would include popcorn (a must for movie watching), chocolate, some sort of baked treat, and wine (other options for the non-drinking).
I'll be right over, wink. I hear you on being job busy, sigh...no rest for the weary or so it seems, grin. Have a beautiful rest of the week, my friend.
ReplyDeleteFun post. Glad to hear you are getting more hours at work, but getting back into the swing of things is an adjustment. I have to make it at the end of every summer when school starts back up. I hope your week is going well. See you again soon!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed your answers today.
ReplyDeleteHave a good Tuesday.

I could live in simpler times too and am taking steps (or have taken) to do so. Been simplifiying our lives a lot. It's worth it. I will keep the internet though for paying bills, keeping in touch, etc. Less Is More is my philosophy.
ReplyDeleteI've been AWOL on the 'net too. It's summer. Too hot to even talk much ... LOL
Enjoyed your answers.
Blessings. xx
I wish you did not have to work. I worked until I was 56. I bet it is hard to not be around your grands as often. You are blessed to have them next door. Under the Tuscan Sun was a great movie! Enjoy the rest of your week Stacy!
ReplyDeleteAhhh - Under the Tuscan Sun - I love that movie too!!!
ReplyDeleteYep... I wouldnt mind living at that resort & taking some dance classes with Patrick Swayze
Great movies and popcorn is a must! I enjoyed your answers and am glad the new job is beginning to shake out some! xo
ReplyDeleteFunny answers...Dirty Dancing. LOL. Somehow I didn't guess that for you, but hey...we all have our dreams and funny sides...I didn't do this meme this week. I just don't seem to have any clever answers so I will just enjoy everyone else's clever answers and wonder why I can't think of any. LOL. Thinking of you as you get back in the work routine. Praying all will go well for you. And yes, bring on the popcorn!
