Tuesday 4: Thinking About It

Linking up for another round of the Tuesday 4. Today's topic is:

 Questions to Think About
1. What kind of setting do you like in a book as in nation, country, city, beach, resort, village and why? If there is no preference, how about a type of character?  I'm always open to any setting, but I do prefer modern stories set in American small towns or at the beach. As for the characters, I like women who are finding their way, discovering who they are and that they are stronger than they know. 

2. Can you tell us about a favorite character in a book you've enjoyed or a program you watch?  Right now I like Sheriff Longmire of the TV show and the books by Craig Johnson. I also like the quirky, down to earth women in the cozy mysteries I enjoy.

3. Why are you interested in the TV programs or movies you watch or books you read ? That is, what attracts you to them.  I tend to lean toward stories where good triumphs over evil and the people are normal, everyday types that could be your neighbor...except for the murders they discover in every book or episode. The world is crazy enough in reality so these days I want a book where life is normal.

4.   Do you get upset if the routine of your day is upset or can you go with the flow?  I am well known for being a mellow, go with the flow kinda girl.

    I enjoy the cozy mysteries too. I am go with the flow kind of girl too, until I had enough, LOL. Have a beautiful day friend.

    you are my hero - I CAN go with the flow - but I'm a scheduled person at heart. I love to know what time things are going to happen. Keep things on track. Very OCD of me.

    WISH I were more a 'go with the flow' type, but just discovered my soul sista in Rebeccca Jo. :) I fear I'm too narrow-minded, but prefer my reading material to be a here-and-now setting. The book I'm currently reading (Payment in Kind by J.A. Jance) is entertaining -- but set before cell phones and DNA evidence became commonplace so that's occasionally jarring.

    Watching Longmire myself. I can deal with it every few days but it does get intense. But he is a great character I think.
