Sunday Stealing: Would You Rather?

Joining in the Sunday Stealing fun with Bev and the gang today.

* Would you rather work in a group or work alone?  It would depend on what is being worked on, I guess, because I really wouldn't want to landscape an entire yard or clean a mansion by myself. On the whole, though, my introverted self would prefer to work alone.

* Would you rather be stuck on an island alone or with someone who talks incessantly?  Again, introvert over here so while I wouldn't like being alone all the time, I would really HATE being with someone who never stops talking.

* Would you rather be too hot or too cold?  I'd rather not be too much of either, but if you're going to make me choose...I'd rather be too cold. It doesn't matter how cold it gets, you can always pile on another blanket or sweater or build a bigger fire, etc. but when you get too hot, there's only so much you can take off. Plus too hot means you're sweaty and feeling gross.

* When you’re old, would you rather die before or after your spouse?  After. I think I could manage without him better than he could manage without me.

* Would you rather have a cook or a maid?  I want an Alice (from the Brady Bunch) who does it all!

* Would you rather be the youngest or the oldest sibling?  As an only child...I really don't know. I see good and bad points to both.

* Would you rather get rich through hard work or through winning the lottery?  I'd be pretty happy either way.

* Would you rather have a 10-hour dinner with a headstrong politician from an opposing party, or attend a 10-hour concert for a music group you detest?  Sign me up for a rap concert, please?

* Would you rather be an Olympic gold medalist or a Nobel Peace Prize winner?  The Nobel Peace Prize winner. That would mean I had contributed something worthwhile to the world.

* Would you rather have a desk job or an outdoor job?  It would depend on what the job was. I would not want a desk job that was all about math. I would not want an outside job digging ditches.

* Would you rather live at the top of a tall NYC apartment building or at the top of a mountain?  The top of a mountain. I'm no city girl.

* Would you rather have Rambo or The Terminator on your side?  Good grief! I don't know. You couldn't have a very good conversation with either of them. I guess which ever of them has the skills to be the kind of body guard I need. Not that I need a body guard...which brings us back to the conversation thing. If I have to spend a lot of time with them they need to be able to talk with me.

* Would you rather be proposed to in private or in front of family and friends?  I don't see this one being an issue ever again, but I'd prefer the private proposal.

* Would you rather have to sew all your clothes or grow your own food?  Grow my own food. If I had to sew all my own clothes I'd end up being a nudist!

* Would you rather hear the good news or the bad news first?
I think the bad news because then the good news would sound even better.

* Would you rather be your own boss or work for someone else?  If I could run my own antique shop or book store I'd want to be my own boss. Otherwise, I'd rather work for someone.

* Would you rather have nosy neighbors or noisy neighbors?  I guess I'll say nosy because my whole neighborhood is filled with people who have lived here for forever. Everybody knows everybody else's business (to a degree) and we all watch out for each other. It was great has a kid having all those people you could turn to and it was great as a parent knowing all those other eyes were watching out for your kids.

* Would you rather be on a survival reality show or dating game show?  Ew...neither one! Can I be on a cooking show instead?

* Would you rather be too busy or be bored?  Bored, because...that introvert thing. Again. I'm content being alone and can nearly always find something to do.

* Would you rather watch the big game at home or live at the stadium.  At the stadium!

* Would you rather spend the day with your favorite athlete or you favorite movie star?  I don't really have a favorite in either category so I don't know. Wait!!! Can I spend the day with Aqua Man? You know, Jason Mamoa. If I can spend the day with him, then I choose him.

* Would you rather live where it is constantly winter or where it is constantly summer?  As much as I hate being too hot, I'd probably choose to live where it's always summer because the sun would, I hope, be shining a lot. We don't get a lot of sunny days here so I crave that at times.

* Would you rather travel the US and see the sights in a motor home or by plane?  In a motor home! OMG, that is like my dream vacation...to have no time limits or money worries and just drive around checking out this great country from one side to the other.

* Would you rather be a little late or way too early?  If we're talking about a social event, I'd rather be late. I'd rather be early for appointments.

* Would you rather have an unlimited gift certificate to a restaurant or a clothing store?  Oh my gosh....RESTAURANT!!! No more cooking for me unless I wanted to. Cooking is fun until you have to do it every day.

* Would you rather date someone you met online or go on a blind date?  Ugh. Either would be my worst nightmare. I would hate being a young single person in today's world. We had our share of awful people to look out for, but I look at things now and can't imagine trying to figure out who you could trust.

  1. I enjoyed my visit tonight. I have been pretty busy the past few days. I am also taking an online craft class and 2 Bible studies. Tomorrow our pastor talks more on end times. Just like what you mentioned at one of my post. Enjoy your week!

  3. I think if you are stuck with an incessant talker on an island, you can always run away for a while. But if you get lonely, you can't just create company. Besides, I have the ability to zone out incessant talkers - I have perfected the "nod and grunt occasionally" approach.

    :o)

    1. You've got a point, but if I have a soccer ball and a marker handy I could make a friend.

  5. So many things I can identify with … but not nearly so witty! I think you're the only soul I know who -- like me -- prefers being too cold. There's so many fun ways in which to get warm again. Remembering that fireside picture you shared a while back where I thought the girl in the rocker was you. Now, that's my idea of heaven!

  6. Yep, same or nearly the same answers for most. Wishing you a good week ahead, Stacy!

  7. I do this kind of game in my lectures, and there are always people who hate being tied to one side or the other. I do it, then have them put themselves on an imaginary line between the two opposites. It goes on from there to the next exercises but it gets people thinking. You see both sides of issues don't you?
But that's why it's hard to choose, and tells us about you, because life is a blending.... it's so interesting these questions, right? I'm loving them.

  9. Winter girl here...don't get me wrong, I love flip flops and shorts, I just detest humid weather.

Bahawa on being a nudist, lol. Have a great day friend.

  10. I wonder if any of us would REALLY want an Alice. I mean, she lived there with the Bradys. I've never had a boss or an employee I wanted to live with. There's another show from that era, Hazel, that showed they gave their maid this little room with its own bathroom. Seems like a crappy situation for everyone, when you think about it.
