Thankful Thursday

A shout out to Rebecca Jo @ Knit By God's Hand for hosting Thankful Thursday each week!

This week I am thankful...

** for cooler, comfortable temperatures.

** for a good check up with my PCP this week. The intern we'd been seeing and who we really liked, graduated and moved on at the end of July. This was my first appointment with the overseeing doctor. I like him. He was very thorough and spent 45 minutes with me. He's the first doctor who's ever taken the time to explain what all the results of the blood work mean. I'm hoping Tim likes him when he sees him.

** for my family, especially the grands who never fail to make me smile.

** that in most cases it seems like the schools are reopening and students and parents are making the mix of in-person and virtual learning work.

** my children are grown and I don't have to deal with the school/Covid thing. God bless those who do.

**I'm not working right now, because I haven't been sleeping worth a darn lately. I don't think I could handle working on the little bit of sleep I'm getting. I hope it's a passing phase.

** for all of the missing children who've been found recently.

** for each one of you!

  1. So glad you like your doctor. I've got a visit in 2 weeks with a new nurse practitioner as my doctor left the practice. My husband liked her, hoping I will too.

I'm glad my kids are grown too and I don't have to worry about the school thing.

  2. I started taking Tylenol PM before bed and it has helped me get to sleep and stay asleep. I was having an awful time for a while, too. Just passing along what helped me! Yes, I am also glad I don't have kids in school during this covid time and God bless all who do... AND all the teachers and administrators. Great thankful list, Stacy!

  4. I am really not liking my dr. or the staff. Keeps pushing this and that and so far, I am holding steady on certain things.

Been keeping in prayer for this country and for those of us who whatever reason can't find work.

I am thankful for you, Stacy. smiles

  5. I always say that - I am so glad I dont have to make the decision about school right now.
Hope you can get some sleep soon. Have you tried some lavender essential oil? Diffuse it while you sleep? Someone sent me some to rub around my head at night & I actually did sleep better. Is it in my mind? Who knows - I'm just glad it worked

  6. Sounds like your new doctor is a gem. I mean, someone who takes his time and explains results in language we 'mere mortals' can understand is a Keeper!

  7. Interesting about changing doctors. My hubby just changed his. We had the same dr. and he was not happy. So he up and changed at the last minute, and is very happy. I am considering doing the same. Yes, I am also thankful not to have kids in school. I pray for those who do. It must be very difficult. Especially for the kids to have to wear a mask all day. I can't even begin to imagine how awful that must be for them and for their teachers. Praying for them all.
