To begin 2021 I thought I would re-post the final Tuesday 4 from Toni, posted on Monday Dec. 9, 2019! Enjoy playing along friends.
1. When was the last time you tried something new? Well, this year was pretty much filled with new ways of doing things and new things in general. I learned how to do a Bible study via Zoom, I learned how to deal with wearing a mask to go shopping or out to eat (which has to be the most ridiculous thing...wearing to the table, taking it off while there, putting it on to go to the restroom or leave), I've grocery shopped online and had it delivered (they are NOT as picky as I am in choosing items), I learned how to be a sister, I tried (and liked) a new church, I tried growing cantaloupes in the garden (not a success), I signed up for an online course about medical office assisting, I tried new foods and new restaurants. Yep, there was a lot of trying new things in 2020!
2. Who in your family do you compare yourself to? Nobody. Seriously. I don't think I'm very much like anyone else in the family.
3. What lesson in life did you learn the hard way? That no matter how they were raised, how good you were to them, or how much you love them...some children will grow up to hate everything about where they came from and and how they were raised and they'll reject it all, including the people who love them, and there isn't a darn thing you can do about it.
4. What can you do today that you weren't able to do before? Be at peace with #3.
Yeah, there are some kids who turn against a good parent and often will chase after a bad one to seek their approval. Being at peace with things is hard but I think well worth it if we can do it! Good for you trying new things.. that's so great.
ReplyDeletePS.. I really like this book theme on the blog.
ReplyDeleteStacey, I can relate to #3, we went through some terrible times with our son. Sending you a ((hug.))
ReplyDeleteAmen to #3 and I hope to have some peace about it at some point. Loved your answers! Have a nice week.

Your #3 is sad but you are right in #4. I guess we all learned some new things in this last year. I didn't think about wearing a mask. Can't wait until we don't have to! xo
ReplyDeleteI didn't really think about the Covid issue; well I did (Commie Cuomo). Gosh, #3 is so sad, but very true...didn't think of that either, sigh.
ReplyDeleteHave a beautiful day friend.
I hope #3 will resolve itself in 2021 but I'm so glad you are being able to find peace with it.
ReplyDeleteStacy,
ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree with you more on #3 and #4. I'm with you there, my friend. If a good swift kick in the breeches worked then that's what I'd do but it's gonna have to be God doing the kicking, I think. Sorry for running late in visiting. I enjoyed reading your responses. Have a blessed evening!
