Sunday Stealing: Misc. Questions

Misc questions

1.Which is more romantic: an expensive, glittering bouquet OR flowers that were hand picked as they grew beside the parkway?  Well, a "glittering" bouquet wouldn't really appeal to me, but otherwise, I don't care if flowers are store-bought or hand picked. It's the feeling behind them that matters.

2.Do you know yourself well enough to understand why you feel the way you do?  Yes, I think I do. It's taken me a few years to get to this point, but I'm here.

3.Which do you do more often: let movies, songs and books put your feelings into words for you or put your feelings into words by yourself?  I'd say I put my feelings into words for myself.

4.Do you believe celebrities when they are endorsing a product?  Not usually. They're being paid to say nice things just like anyone else would be.

5.What kind of movies do you wish were made more often?  I am a huge fan of action/adventure movies like Indiana Jones, The Mummy, and National Treasure. I'd love to see a lot more movies like that.

6.Does fashion matter to you?  Sort of. I like to look decent, but mostly I'm about being comfortable.

7.Should politicians be held to the same legal standards as everyone else?  Oh, heck YES!

8. If you became president, whom would you invite to sing at your inauguration?  This choice would probably change on any given day. Today I'd choose Billy Joel and Neil Diamond.

9. Do you try to write/say what you are feeling in a true and simple way?  Yes, but I often fail. I have a tendency to be too wordy.

10.What is your worst daily habit?  It's a tie. Procrastination and Diet Coke.

11.If you had your choice which one TV show would you have canceled?  I watch very little network TV so I have no idea at all.

12.Do you like the taste of sweet or salt?  Salty usually wins out over sweet if I am having just one, but you know sweet and salty really go together so you kind of need a bit of both at the same time.

13.Are you very precise about what words you use to describe your feelings and thoughts?  Sometimes, but again...I tend to be wordy.

14.What do you feel the most guilty about?  Not doing better at eating healthy and exercising more.

15.Do you meditate?  Not in the way you probably mean. I do spend time every day thinking about or meditating on what I read in the Bible that day.

Thanks to Bev for the questions.

  1. I enjoyed the Indiana Jones movies and National Treasure. I also liked Black Panther. I just watched 5 seasons of When Calls The Heart on Netflix. How about a Payday candy bar. Sweet and salty all in one! Happy Sunday Stacy!

    1. Payday would work, but I don't like any kind of nut. I usually go for a chocolate covered pretzel or have a couple of chips and a Hershey's Kiss.

  2. Great answers, and most would have been the exact same for me. I do prefer comedies to adventure movies. I had to break my growing diet coke habit because too much caffeine keeps me awake, so I have pretty much given up soda of all kinds all together. I will only drink diet coke when I take an advil for a headache. Hope your Sunday goes well.

    1. I've discovered it comes in caffeine-free. Not even sure why I am so addicted at this point...no sugar, no caffeine...what's left?

  3. Diet Coke has rat killer in it. Maybe that thought will make you stop drinking it, even if it's not true. :-)

    1. Sadly, probably not. I know the artificial sweetener is linked to dementia and that hasn't cured me.

  4. I love action/adventure too - I totally agree with you.

  7. Love so many of these responses ... I can't choose a favorite. (Maybe #1) I don't think you're too wordy at all. Only wish I could express myself so well.

  9. Those would be good movies to make more of--I forgot about that when I was answering.

  10. Your answer to #15, you do the best kind of meditation. I can relate with the Procrastination and Diet Coke, except I dring regular cokes. My fridge is always stocked. I guess I should feel guilty about that but I don't. I LOVE COKE !!

    1. I love my Diet Coke, too, and the thought of giving it up kills me, but drinking it probably is killing me. It's got to go one of these days soon.

  12. I guess I am way too wordy as well. I can't even comment on another's blog without writing another blog post. LOL. I love Payday candy bars as I don't do chocolate. But I really don't eat candy or sweets much ever, and like crackers more than chips, etc. I don't drink sodas either. Just tea and water. that's it. Anyway, you did well on your answers. They were interesting! Yes, "Let the words of my mouth and the MEDITATIONs of my heart be acceptable in Thy sight, O Lord, my Strength and my Redeemer. Psalm 19:14.

    1. Tea and water is all my mom drinks (and only herbal teas at that)...and absolutely no sugar or artificial sweetener, either. Being wordy was a problem for me when I was studying journalism. The name of the game there is concise and I got comments from my instructors all the time for rambling on.

  13. Comfortable clothing really has an appeal. I'm going to be making some things called Messy Dresses. They are funky and fit my idea of what's really comfortable. Billy Joel or Neil Diamond are good choices for inaugurations.
I loved the Indiana Jones series. Thanks, it's time to watch them again. Have you ever seen "Romancing the Stone"? They are fun.
