Tuesday 4: Rejoice!

Good morning! Welcome to a rainy and windy morning here in my corner of PA. We awoke to a bit of icy slush this morning, but nothing like we feared we'd find...and thankfully, Tim reported that the roads to work were just fine. The temperature is hovering right around freezing this morning, but as the day progresses it's supposed to warm up quite a bit, possibly reaching the 50s!

Ah, but you aren't here for a weather report, so let's get on with the Tuesday 4, carried on in memory of Toni Taddeo. Our thanks to Annie for keeping it going.

Let's rejoice today!

1. What makes you rejoice the most? Oh that's an easy one. Knowing who God, the Father, and Jesus Christ, the son, are and what that means to the world and to me. After that it would be my grandchildren, my family, my dog, my friends in Bible study, and answered prayers.

2. What song makes you feel joyful or happy? A lot of songs do that, but among the top contenders...

Any of those will put an instant smile on my face.

3. Do sounds of nature give you a joyous feeling? Absolutely! I love to hear the birds singing, cawing, or whatever they do. I love the power of thunder and lightning and the beat of the rain on the roof. The rustle of the wind in the treetops and the gurgle of a stream or the crash of the waves. It all speaks joy to my heart.

4. How about holidays? Do you really rejoice or just kind of show up? I'd like to say I always really rejoice, but have to admit there have been a few times through the years when I was in a state of mind that just didn't allow for rejoicing. Thankfully, those times all passed and these days I rejoice fully in holidays...at least the ones that matter. Some of the smaller holidays I don't really think much about at all...Labor Day, MLK Day, Presidents Day, Columbus Day, etc.

  1. Great songs! Music is something that I love and am listening to all day long. I play KLOVE in the car and The Message (SiriusXM) on my TV at home. Thanks for stopping by! Have a great Tuesday!

  4. Nice songs. I told Annie this at her blog, I think the song that makes me the most joyful is "Amazing Grace" played to the original melody (not the new one used by 'praise' music) or only done in melody with bagpipes. Gives me chill bumps every time. I'm also quite fond of "Ode To Joy" by Beethoven.
I'm kind of a nature girl. It's comforting to me to be outside, working in His garden, thinking about His goodness, meditating on His promises. It's so wonderful having Jesus Christ as my personal LORD and Saviour.
    Blessings. xx

  5. Well, that was fun..."I'm walking on Sunshine"...never heard it before if you can believe that, but "don't it feel good!" I love it. We have so much to rejoice about when we know Jesus, don't we? That sure makes me feel good!! Even on a cloudy day. I enjoyed your post . Have a blessed and wonderful and joyful day.
